3D Senior environment / Lighting Artist

As a Senior 3D Environment Artist, my role was to support the talented team through multiple complex levels during a five-month freelance mission. I was truly honored to contribute significantly to the Level Art and the intricate lighting process across several stages, ensuring that each element was visually compelling. Additionally, I had the opportunity to assist in the development of the lighting baking pipeline workflow, enhancing overall efficiency. Here, we will focus specifically on THE Lvl 03: HOT OVENS! , which presented unique challenges and creative opportunities.

Composition and Lighting

BREAKDROWN

Optimized lighting in a stylized environment by reducing lightmaps by 2.5x and setting background assets to 'Movable,' eliminating unnecessary shadows for improved performance. Disabled 'Cast Shadows' on non-critical objects to maintain visual quality while significantly boosting frame rates. Successfully balanced aesthetics and technical constraints to enhance overall scene efficiency.
